If you want a new kitten don't buy it at a store, get one at the animal shelter. I think it is best there because animals at the shop can be sick or die soon.

Look in your local phone book and look for your closes animal shelters. Call and ask them if they put to sleep animals that don't get adopted after a period of time. That is the place you want to adopt a kitty. You will be saving a life and making a friend forever.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT purchase a kitten from a pet shop! Have you ever heard of puppy mills?? They exist for cats as well!! If you purchase ANY pet from a pet shop, you are helping to fund the cruelest form of punishment an animal can endure! If you really want a kitten, SAVE A LIFE, go to your local animal shelter, or humane society, and adopt a kitten! Shelter animals make the best pets, because they are in desperate need of a home, love and humane treatment!! Sure, it may cost a little to adopt, but you know for sure you are getting a healthy pet, and it will be spayed or neutered for you, that is included in the adoption costs. Plus it will get it's first shots, so it will be off to a healthier start!
