I purchased a house and the previous owners had a cat that urinated in the basement. The carpet and padding has been removed. I'm looking for something to clean the smell from the cement floor and a couple of other spots. The testimonials from the SCOE 10X web site sound great, but I would like to hear from people who have had success with this product. It is hard to know how credible testimonials on the products site really are.

Hi there...I haven't personally tried SCOE 10X and there doesn't seem to be enough documentation to substantiate whether or not it is effective. However, I have personally tried many other odour enzyme neutralizers and found the best one which works is called Nature's Miracle Just for Cats (not plain Nature's Miracle). It's an enzymatic neutralizer which works by breaking down urine proteins by thoroughly soaking the areas affected and allowing to air dry. Repeated applications are necessary for heavily soiled areas. Flooring/sub-flooring will require extra solution so consider buying the Gallon size to achieve the results. If it is deep into the concrete you will need to use bleach as well.

We've tested nearly all enzyme neutralizers available in the marketplace for our exotic cats which have stronger urine than domestic cats and found that Nature's Miracle Just for Cats has always worked the best.

I have used this product several times over a couple years. I purchased the 32 oz jug and I mix it in a new spray bottle as directed. I can honestly say it never works for cat urine. New carpet, new tack strips under and I end up pouring the product on until the carpet is soggy and it can't absorb anymore. I let it dry over several days covering it to keep it moist. I can't comment on the return policy, I figure I will keep using it until it is gone and not re-order. IT DOES NOT WORK ON CAT PEE. Love the clean smell when it's wet and it doesn't damage anything, just leaves the cat pee smell behind.

ReplyDeleteOne of my 2 cats (both neutered males) had taken to painting all of my walls, furniture, and anything else he could reach. I was horrified when I got a UV light. He never did that in all of the 9 years I've had him and didn't when I got him a buddy (they love each other and did so right away) but when a strange black cat started showing up outside both of my cats went nuts and the older one (9) started his wall painting, as well as the curtains out in the kitty room. I couldn't keep up with it.
ReplyDeleteMy cats are indoor cats so it's not like the stray is actually going to get in here but they both hate him (and he is weird...my neighbor's cats hate him too). I've tried cleaning with a pet urine enzyme and then spraying some "No More Spraying" but that hasn't worked. He's a sneaky little bugger too; he waits until he thinks I'm not looking and then does it. He's learned that the minute I see him backing his butt up to something he gets yelled at.
It wasn't until I found NoMoreCatPee.com that I was able to finally get rid of this tiresome behavior. Now my house doesn't smell like a litter box anymore :)
