Anybody knows A LOT about Golden Retrievers?

I need to know which kind of Golden Retriever is the one that keeps a stylish, young-looking face even until it grows old. Because there is one type of Golden Retriever that has more of falling face, and drools a bit; specially as they grow older. OK, I need to know which type is the first one. It's also normally very light gold colour shade and it doesn't drool as much as the other one. Thanks
Answers:
There is a single breed that is a Golden Retriever but there are different 'lines' that create different dogs. There are two basic types:
American Field Bred: Taller, Leaner, often redder.
British: Stockier, shorter, often a lighter, cream color.
These are just broad generalizations and there are many variations including the very light cream colored Goldens that appear to be almost white.
All Goldens drool somewhat especially in the presence of food. The lighter goldens will probably appear to age more slowly as their white hairs will blend in with their regular coat. The darker, more reddish goldens will show their white hairs more distinctly which is probably what you are thinking about.
In looking for a Golden, make sure you spend the time and effort looking for a well bred one. There are so many of them that some lines are excessively aggressive and will cause you no end of problems.
Also remember that Goldens shed profusely and will happily run into water, mud and bring back lots of burrs and debris. You will have to bathe them or have them professionally groomed frequently if you want to keep your house really clean.
Otherwise, you can simply get used to having hair appear pretty much everywhere.
Goldens are wonderful dogs but you really should look for solid health (hips, eyes) and temperament above all else.
NO!
mmm, well i have a Golden retriever and he's the kind that doesn't have the droopy face /drool and he's 6 years old. I think thats the characteristics of a true pure bread goldy.
first of all it shouldnt matter what type of dog u get, you should love it no matter what, and second, there are no types of golden retrievers, i have one and he is not light light but almost, and he drools only when hot and he is old so he is starting to get white around his face, but he is still the same loveable energetic dog. everyone loves him even strangers that see him cuz he is so friendly
What are you talking about? golden retriever are golden retrievers. Every dog of the same breed has unique features of its own, which can NEVER be duplicated in another dog. You are asking for the impossible.
Check out the differences between the Golden Retriever and the Golden lab.
My lab is 16 years old. His hair has lightened up and he is loosing some teeth but he still looks just the same. And he does not drool.
The curly coated retriever is the one you're on about, but all retrievers seem to look older than their years after puppy hood. I've had Golden Retrievers in the past and none have drooled, but they all tend to look like old men and women after puppy hood. Hope this helps and have a nice evening.
All dogs drool you fool
why is this in cats?
i love golden retrievers ive always wanted one! but rents said no =(
Why are you asking this in the 'cat' section?
Golden Retrievers are good dogs to have. I thought this is the cats forum.

Only if it looks like a dog.
