A new home for my cat?

Does anyone know of a no kill shelter in southern California? (I am in Orange County.) I have 3 cats and need to find a home for one of them. I would rather not take him to the pound, as he is 5 and less likely to be adopted due to that. I would normally not consider re-homing him, but I have to move and he can't travel, he gets motion sickness. Sometimes even going to the vet can make him sick. I just don't want to put him through the stress. :(

Have you talked to your vet about sedating him for the move?
I find it hard to believe that going into a no-kill shelter situation with dozens of other cats, strange people, smells, and sounds would be LESS stressful than one car trip under sedation.
If you've ever spent any time volunteering at a no-kill shelter, you'd probably realize that you're not doing him any favors by thinking that's "less stressful" for him. Every day spent in a small cage, in a noisy, unfamiliar environment, with only limited human contact because there isn't enough time in the day... he's older so the odds of him getting adopted quickly are low, so he'd probably be there for A WHILE.
Talk to your vet. Get your vet's professional, informed opinion on the pros and cons of sedation for travel, before you condemn your cat to the shelter system.
If you're determined to find a new home for him, do it yourself - find someone to adopt him so he goes directly from your home to his new home, instead of having to live in a no-kill shelter for weeks, months, or possibly years.
Poor thing.Yes,putting an animal in a no - kill shelter is very good,he will be able to have a chance in a new home without having to travel.Cats are very nervous when it comes to the vet, they think that they will be abandoned and will not go anywhere, but they will go somewhere...
Good Luck

Your cat will be much more stressed by losing his home, his companions and you than he would making the move with you. I'm sure a vet can give you something for his motion sickness which will only be temporary anyway.
Ask your vet for a mild to medium tranquilzer for your cat. My sister moved to tn from chicago, and it worked wonders for her. Hope this helps
