Bathing cat?

My mom said she caught her boyfriend bathing her cat at 6am the other morning, is this ok?
Answers:
Um, unless you're being intentionally crude or leaving out important details, there's nothing inherently wrong with the event you describe.
I give my cat a bath every few months or so. She is an indoor cat, and this helps get rid of excess hair, etc, as I can be allergic. I don't see anything wrong with it.
yes it is i bathe my cat once a mounth
Bathing a cat is fine, as long as it's not too frequent. Too much bathing can strip their fur of the oils that are in it. It can also dry out their fur and skin. So, an occasional bath is alright. The time of day isn't a problem either.
Ours only got one bath in their lifetime, usually the first day we got them home (they'd been sleeping in used litter box crud at the Humane Society). We haven't bathed them since, they keep themselves pretty clean and nice smelling.
But if a cat gets into something sticky, smelly or whatever, it's ok to bathe them provided that they're rinsed several times to get all the soap out, and toweled dry so they don't catch a cold.
Did you ask the boyfriend why he wanted to give a cat a bath that early? Seems sorta strange.
