At what age does a female cat usually stop having kittens?

We have a 12 year old country ma cat and we were thinking of having her spayed .
Answers:
I know you are concerned about her age but if she is in good health, getting her fixed will only give her a chance of a longer, healthier life.Talk to your vet. If she is not in good health, your vet will be very careful and this will improve her health. Cats can just keep on and keep on having kittens. Do her (and yourself) a favor, get it taken care of as soon as you can. Your vet can tell you if she is really to old.I know eventually she would be but you have a while to go.
when she is fixed
as long as she can do it if she has no problems with her reproducing organs.
When you become a responsible owner and have the cat spayed, that's when it stops having kittens.
I have to say that at 12 years old the surgery for
her is a higher risk and presurgery tests will be
costly.
EITHER keep her indoors ONLY and not let her
have contact to reproduce or get her spayed to
avoid more litters for her, she is getting old.
I think you should get her spayed. I dont think female cats stop having kittens. She will carry on as long as there is a fertile male around to get her pregnant!
a cat never stops having babies well only when she has been Spayed for any reason.
When she dies of complications of her last pregnancy or delivery.
Or when she dies of pyometra...the infection of the uterus that is very common with older unspayed cats.
Very old cats can still get pregnant, with disastrous consequences.
Twelve is too old to safely have kittens, but it is not too old to have her safely spayed. Please do so without any further delay.
