6 weeks kitten?

is it ok the kitten eat the adult food
Answers:
Nutritionally it may be lacking in what the kitten needs but kittens certainly can eat adult food by 6 weeks old
I'm sure there's no major problem with it, but it's just that food made specifically for kittens would be easier to digest I'd imagine.
Might need to put some water in it to make it easy for it to eat.
Hi, sometimes if you have other cat's you cannot stop kittens from eating the older cat's food. Kitten food is better as it is high in protein, but i must tell you that kitten food is not good for adult cat's as their liver cannot take all the protein.
Feed it kitten food and moisten the food (assuming it's box food, not canned) for the 1st 6 months. Your vet (hint, hint) will tell you when to switch to adult cat food. (Probably at about 12-18 months.)
yes it's fine.they can actually eat solids from about three weeks.
It won't hurt them but kittens need the calories and nutrients in kitten food. Kitten food, good quality brand, is ideal.
That means the mother is trying to ween them and the kitten needs to eat kitten food. The adult food does not have all the vitamin that kitten food has. So try to get some kitten food.Best of Luck...
they would be fine on adult food.. but if they are sick or have other problems its best to put them on kitten food.
no! its teeth willl rot. and its bad for the stoumach
shouldn't even be away from its mother yet
As there are so many foods made specifically for kittens, I would stick with those for the majority of feeds but you could also introduce adult food gradually.
It's okay for it to eat adult food, but better for it to eat kitten food as it's designed for kittens and gives them the best start in life with added vitmains and such. It's also smaller chunks so they can eat them better.
Hope this helps.
