I bathe it, what should I use and how should I do it.

Cats don't really require bathing, that is something that their mommy usually does for them. When they're old enough, they do it themselves.
If, for some reason, the kitten gets dirty enough to warrant a bath, then do a good wipe-down with a washcloth and a mild pet shampoo (look at your pet store and read the label for age limitations that may apply).
you dont need to bathe it. its a cat they do that all on their own. even as kittens. bathing a kitten could scare it. i know my little cousin kept getting my kitten wet when she was about 6 weeks old and now she's even more afraid of water than any other cat i've had. so dont worry about it, it'll take care of itself
we never bathed our kitten...cats hate water, and they clean themselves ne ways...
most cats are always clean and if not get clean in the rain
u really don't need to bathe a cat. they pretty much do that themselves. if u notice it getting really dirty.. ask that same question to the vet. good luck! xoxo
dawn the dish soap would be the best thing for the kitten. The shampoos that humans use are worse for it. The dawn also helps kill fleas too, but it won't kill the eggs under the skin so I would recommend advantage, which is a flea preventative-it's safe to use on a kitten of that age. And you can bathe your new kitty at any time. but no more than like a once a month. Good luck!

9 Year old Siamese Losing weight.?
My 9 year old Siamese seems to be losing weight, muscle in his rear legs. His chest area seems still to be broad...His character is till the same and doesn't seem to be pained. He does at times seem to be constipated.Any ideas?

The best thing you can do is have your cat examined by your vet, blood and urine analysis should also be included, and get a diagnosis. Some of the above conditions are easily treatable (hyperthyroid and arthritis), some are not so easy, but are still treatable (such as diabetes, kidney disease, and nerve damage)

9 Year old cat has a paw that makes cracking noise.?
Just in the last 6 months my cat has some cracking noise coming from one of her paws or something. I can hear her coming and know it's her because of the noise. I have another cat too. I had her at the vet and he didn't seem to have any idea. He thought maybe it was her claws making a noise on the floor but that's not it since it's on carpet also. It sounds like when someone cracks there knuckles.
What could this be? Does it sound like a problem? It seems to be getting louder.

But if any changes occur write them down and put a tensor bandage on it, then bring it into the vet.

8 year old spade Male Cat suddenly peeing on floor.?
My beautiful 8 year old male spade cat has started pooping and peeing on our hardwood floor about 6 months ago every evening and has ruined it. Any idea why a cat would do that? It is litter box trainded. No major changes in the house. He gets loads of affection. How can we break him of this? Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I would hate to have to get rid of him if this continues. We have our 2nd child arriving in about 3 months and we cant have this continue.

Just so you know if you have a male cat he was neutered not spayed. Your cat needs to go to the vet...he could have a health issue causing this such as a bladder infection or he could have the early beginning of kitty alzheimers and is simply confused. He needs a vet..
Are you keeping the litter box clean? Scooped out every day? And, washed and refilled with fresh litter once a week?
Maybe he can't hold it, take him to the vet. And see whats wrong.
Hopefully you have already had him to the vet to determine if he is sick or not. When cats get sick they sometimes go outside the litterbox. Sometimes when they are declawed this is also a side effect. Even if the cat was declawed years ago, the paws can grow more sensitive with time. Either way, try different types of litters. You could try wheat litter like Swheat Scoop if he is declawed. It's lighter and easier on the paws. If the cat still has his claws, I would still try different types of litters. You could also try to put another box in the area he is going in. Don't move the original, but buy a new one and put it there. If he uses it, move it a few inches every couple of days closer to where he is suppose to go. This will be a minor inconvenience, but sometimes works. That's all I have, good luck!

8 Year Old Female Cat Recently Poohing and Peeing in House?
I have two cats...both fixed and have had them both going on 10 years. Both are now primarily indoor cats...I live in the Florida, too many critters out there. Both typically use the kitty liter box without fail. He was recently diagnosed with a thyroid issue and he is more aggressive, chases her, plays hard with me, bellows in the night, etc. When he gets in these moods she stays out of his way. She is a big cat for her size...close to 20 lbs.she started not using the kitty liter box sporadically, and it started with pooh in the kitchen, washroom, dining room, clothes closet. Now she is starting with urinating outside the box...urintated in the dining room this AM. I took the cover off the box and I thought that solved the problem but seems to work only sporadically. This was the final straw and why I am writing.WHAT'S UP?

Try getting her a new box and put her in a area by herself for a day or two. DO NOT let the boy in with her. Let her get used to HER TERRITORY for awhile. Make sure she is healthy also. Most cats will something out of the ordinary to let you know hey I am not feeling well. Have you changed the brand of litter or their food? Maybe, last but no least with the health issues with the other cat, maybe she is a little jealous and is seeking attention..just like kids.
As for the pooh and peeing the smell can be permanent especially in a place where humid conditions are a norm. Try using a product called Petrotec for the odor. It will take it away permanently. she is angry. i do not know how to solve unless you can separate them and use different litter boxes. i have been thru this also. and it generally meant that i loved my cat enough to clean up and not be too annoyed. but your problem seems to be a rebellion due to the hostile situation. i wish you luck. this is also a common problem among older animals when you bring others in. i am so sorry .

Our next solution is to put a litter box in the bath room upstairs, where he spends a lot of time, likes to sleep in the bathtub. I wrote because misery loves company. Maybe you will share any solutions you get.

8 week old kitten licking lips, shaking head, wont eat, throwing up..?
I got an 8 week old kitten on saturday and yesterday i noticed he was shaking his head a lot and scratching his ears. Today hes still doing that but he also wont eat, is vomiting a clear foam, and is like constantly licking his lips. He also hasnt played at all since we got him, has just been laying around. We have a vet visit for 5:30 because thats the earliest he could take us. Any advice on whats wrong and what i can do to help him until then? Hes lost 4oz since yesterday afternoon!

well throwing up foamy stuff is a sign of something as simple as a tummy ache, which explains the licking of lips which cats do when they feel sick, laying around, and not eating. it doesnt however explain the shaking of head and scratching of ears, which might be completely normal or maybe an ear infection which spread through his body and made him sick. maybe it's something he ate or eating too fast and it's good that you're taking him to the vet. bring a sample of his vomit to the vet and ask him what it could be. your kitty's probably feeling pretty icky right now though, so make sure he has lots of water (not milk some cats are allergic) and rest (food will upset his stomach more, especially if he is going in the car) available. and keep in mind that on the way to the vet he might get motion sickness and will probably drool a lot and probably be sick again. but you are a good pet owner and within a couple days your kitty might be feeling much better. i hope he does soon! :) and do give us an update

Tell the vet it is an emergency. They may charge you a wee bit extra but they will see you earlier!! If not, call another vet!!

Get a small bottle that has a tiny nipple for him to suck on and fill it with warm Vitamen D milk.
Wrap him up in a warm/heated towel and hold him like a baby and feed him the milk.
That should take care of his weight problem, you're going to want to keep him in a very warm environment, let him lay around until you can take him into the vet. The clear vommitting can be fixed, it sounds like he's got a viral infection which the vet will be able to take care of.
Please give me an update after you're done with the vet or i'll worry.

8 month kitten plays too rough with new 5 week old kitten?
Hi, I have a 8 month kitten and just recently brought a new 5 week kitten into the house.. at first my old kitten (Roma) didnt like the new one (Luna), but its been 4 days and now she wants to play with the new arrival, the only problem is that she's never played with another cat since she was about 6 weeks old, and she's playing o hard with the little one, what can i do to get her to stop hitting her like she's the same size?
